New Head Brewer

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Cole to Head Brewer!

Ryan attended the Fermentation Science program at Flathead Valley Community College before becoming Head Brewer at the now-closed Kalispell Brewing Company. After a stint at the exceptional pFriem Family Brewers in Hood River, Oregon, Ryan decided to move to Missoula with his partner. Fortunately for us, he arrived just as a position in the brewery opened up.

Since his start here, Ryan has demonstrated a consistent and unyielding commitment to producing the highest quality beer possible. His philosophy of brewing is inspired by his love of the European brewing tradition, producing clean, crisp, flavorful beers with a focus on repeatability and efficiency. He has showcased his talent time and time again across many beer styles, melting the hearts of our customers with refined, balanced, immensely drinkable beers and winning multiple awards across platforms. These include our first GABF medal for Munich-Style Helles and “Best Medium Brewery of the Year” at the 2025 Montana Beer Awards.

Every gorgeous beer is a gift, and Ryan just keeps on giving. We could not be more proud to have his skill and dedication as part of our team.
